On Friday, April 4, 2025, the artistic directors of four Silambam institutions from across the world will present a new production titled ‘Bandhavam - An Exploration of the Beauty and the Strength of Relationships’

Silambam Phoenix complete 25 years in the valley. We celebrate with Rajata Sringa Vaibhava, a series of three new productions on April 4-6, 2025. 

On Saturday, April 5, 2025, the senior dancers of Silambam from across the country come back together to present a new production titled ‘Dasa Mahavidya - An evening length presentation of the ten Wisdom Goddesses'

On Sunday, April 6, 2025, we present our all-school production titled ‘Prakriti - An Ode to Living’ The production pays homage to all the people who work tirelessly to keep our lives moving like a well-oiled machine every day. 

A Bharatanatyam (Indian classical dance)-Ballet-Theater adaptation of William Shakespeare's ‘Much Ado About Nothing’. Silambam Phoenix and Convergence Ballet Company present this unique collaborative effort for the first time in the valley.

Silambam Phoenix and the Fine Arts Association of Arizona come together to start the annual Yuva Kala Sangamam  - a festival featuring promising young talent in classical arts, from across North America. 

Yuva Kala Sangamam 2024 will feature the following artists.

Join us for a two day festival presenting two unique Bharatanatyam margams by senior students of Silambam Phoenix and a very energetic, thematic production titled ‘Paramparyam - Inspiration from Indian Traditional Arts’ also presented by students of Silambam Phoenix.

Day 1 features Paramparyam and a margam titled ‘Sanmarga Vahini - An Ode to the Thanjavur Bani’ by Silambam Phoenix senior students Prithvi Mohan, Meghna Jayaraman, Nimisha Nair, and Vaishnavi Vaidyanathan.

Welcome to Yuva Utsav 2022 - Natyakatha on the History of Bharatanatyam

'Natyakatha on the History of Bharatanatyam' is an informative dance-lecture on the history of Bharatanatyam, one of the oldest classical dance forms of India. The Natyakatha will be performed by Kalaimamani Smt. Sasirekha Balasubramanian.

Welcome to Yuva Utsav 2022 - Bharatanatyam Goes Broadway

'Bharatantayam Goes Broadway' is a two part lecture and worskshop conducted by Ms. Vaibu Mohan on exploring pathways to integrate Bharatanatyam and musical theater. 

The lecture is open to all; intermediate and advanced level dancers of Bharatanatyam can participate in the workshop, but all are welcome to observe.

Dasa Mahavidya: SHE is Omniscient is a new thematic Bharatantayma production by Dr. Srimathy Mohan and Kalaimamani Smt. Priya Murle. The production is a meditative offering to the ten forms of the Mother Goddess. The forms range from the most beautiful to some that may appear fearsome, each, a representation of the deepest parts of ourselves. Featuring an eclectic score of Carnatic as well as choral and orchestral music, Dasa Mahavidya is not to be missed.

All proceeds from ticket sales and donations are in support of the following seven charities.

Kids in Need of Defense, Girls not Brides, National Women's Law Center, Wish Foundation, Center for Rare Childhood Disorders, Arizona South Asians for Safe Families, Save the Children

Sarvagnya: She is Limitless is a new Bhratanatyam production on the role of the Woman as a creator, nurturer, educator, activist and artist. The premiere is presented at the Mesa Arts Center on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 5 PM. 

The production contains references to suicidal ideation, suicide, miscarriage and violence against women.

All proceeds from ticket sales and donations are in support of the following seven charities.
